The issue of whether Ghana should criminalize lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender LGBT and not allow them free operation in the country is still a hot topic for discussion.

It was just an argument in the Ghanaian media space until it grabbed headlines due to an interview by CNN that went viral.

The interview was between Kenyan born CNN reporter Larry Madowo and the lead person in pushing the Anti LGBT bill in parliament Hon. Sam George.

Interestingly, Larry himself shared a part of the interview with Sam George and admitted it was the most contentious interviews he’s ever done on live TV

“This is one of the most contentious interviews I’ve ever done on live TV. I asked a Ghanaian MP pushing an anti-LGBT bill why he wants to legalize hate & homophobia”

Only 7% of Ghanaians are tolerant of homosexuality,” MP @samgeorgegh told me on @OneWorldCNN” he tweeted
