“I’ll find it difficult to speak if he is around” – Oxlade speaks on comparisons with music legend Wande Coal
Nigerian Singer, Oxlade has broken his silence on some music fans who are comparing him to fellow industry singer Wande Coal.
Oxlade stated emphatically that he would even struggle to open his mouth for five minutes if the Kiss Your Hand hitmaker were to be in front of him.
“If Wande Coal were to come here right now, I would be starstruck and I’ll find it difficult to speak for a good five minutes. Comparing me to Wande Coal, in my opinion, is arrant nonsense and unproductive.” He said
Oxlade went on to admit that Wande made lot’s of impacts in his musical journey as well as other artists and there’s the need to give him that needed respect.
“Wande Coal played a significant role in shaping my musical journey, particularly his influence from the Mushin to Mo’Hits era, which motivated me to step into the studio and pursue music”
“It’s worth acknowledging that Wande has been a source of inspiration for numerous talented emerging artists who are currently making waves. “
