Confirmed: Xavi to Barcelona is a done deal after Al-Sadd agreed payment of his release clause by the Spanish club
Qatari Side Al-Sadd have confirmed Xavi’s move to Barcelona after the Spanish club activate his release clause.
The former Spanish midfielder is a long term target for the Catalan giants following his successful coaching career in Qatar.
He was tied to a contract that has a release clause around the region of €5m but seems not to be a problem for Barcelona.

The Qatari club via their official Twitter handle confirmed the said amount has been paid and Xavi is on his way to succeeding Ronald Koeman as the new Barcelona manager.
