Armed men take over Guinea’s Presidential Palace, President Alpha Conde captured

President of Guinea, Alpha Conde, has reportedly been overthrown in a Military Coup as Heavy Gunfire were heard on Sunday morning at the Presidential Palace in Guinea’s capital, Conakry.

Reliable sources reveal that an elite national army unit which is reportedly spearheaded by a former French legionnaire, Mamady Doumbouya, was behind the unrest.

However, images emerging from Guinea looks like Mr. Conde has been captured by the armed men and possibly been placed on house arrest.

The 83 year old dictator was seen seated clad in a shirt and jeans with some buttons undone. He appeared visibly miffed and unhappy about the situation.
