Ghanaians to be allowed to register 10 Sim cards in the upcoming Sim Registration project

Ghana is comping up with a nationwide Sim registration exercise that take place for a period of six months.

Speaking at a press briefing, The minister of communications Ursula Owusu revealed the exercise will start from the 1st day of October and end in March 31st 2022.

She added that anyone who couldn’t get his SIM card registered within that period will get his/her contact blocked.

“Barring any unforeseen eventualities, SIM Registration will begin on 1st October, 2021 for a six (6) month period and end on 31st March, 2022. Any sim which is not registered at the end of this exercise will be blocked” She stated

The Minister also made it known Ghanaian citizens will be permitted to register a total of 10 SIM cards across all the available networks while non Ghanaian Citizens can have only 3.

“Individuals can register a total number of 10 SIM Cards across all networks and Foreigners will have a limit of 3 SIM Cards across all networks.”
