Ghanaian Defender Daniel Amartey has made history with Leicester city after helping his side beat the Manchester City.

The citizens clashed with the Foxes inside Wembley yesterday August 7 for the Community Shield title in a match between the FA cup winners and the Premier League winners of last season.

After a heated battle on the pitch, it took an 88th minute penalty from Nigerian Striker Kelechi Iheanacho to settle the difference with a 1-0 win for Leicester.

Daniel Amartey last the entire duration of the game and happily lifted the trophy that happens to be his third trophy on English soil.

Amartey’s trophy made him join a legendary record considering only one Ghanaian player has ever lifted the Community shield title and that’s no other person than former player Michael Essien.

The Ghanaian Midfield General won the Community Shield Trophy with Chelsea during his days as a Chelsea Player and thereby becoming the first Ghanaian to achieve such feet.
