League Match abandoned in Germany after Ghanaian Player was subjected to racist chants

A football match between Duisburg vs Osnabruck in Germany’s third division has been abandoned because as a result of racism from the stands.

Racist chants were believed to be made towards Aaron Opoku, a Ghanaian born German player.

According to reports, The referee ordered players off the pitch moment the team noticed the abuse directed towards Opoku.

The club have confirmed few moments after the abandonment that the culprit has been identified and will be dealt with.
