Ghana Geological Survey Authority discover Large deposits of iron ore in Oti region

The Ghana Geological Survey Authority has confirmed the discovery of large quantities of Iron ore.

The large deposit was discovered in a farming community identified as Akokrowa in the newly created Oti Region of Ghana.

The iron ore, according to the geological investigation, is 55.22 weight percent (fe) and of a higher grade.

This adds up to the already rich Natural resources available in the country and authorities will be doing everything possible to make good use of it.

Meanwhile, The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon. Samuel A Jinapor met the Chiefs and people of Akokrowa coming in a scheduled meeting that took place on Tuesday 14th December, 2021.

During the meeting, Hon. Jinapor made a promise to the community that government will ensure that the commodity found in the area benefits their people.
