The University of Ghana, Legon Chapter of Volta Region Students Association (VORSA) went all out to donate Pads to some selected basic Schools in the Volta Region.
The project dubbed The Pad drive took place on Monday October 18th with members of the association moving all the way to the region to take part in it.
Two basic schools, Awata RC School located around Gidikope in the Akatsi South district and El-shaddai preparetory school, also in Klikor, Ketu Municipal District were the main beneficiaries.
Aside the donation, The Association held other engagements including teaching students how to make reusable eco-friendly pads.
They also campaigned against teenage pregnancy, talk on menstrual hygiene before wrapping up with discussions on Prevention of Sexual Transmitted Infections.

A deep look into the Project by Osixafrica.net indicates the giant step taken by the students attract sponsorship from Some notable personalities including the Member of Parliament for klottey Korle Constituency, Hon. Zanetor Aygeman Rawlings.

Rev. Issac Oti Boateng (Founder of Love Economy Church) Miss Christiana Saabah (MD for PhamaTrust Kasoa branch) Hon. Abigail Yaa Elorm Mensah (NDC National deputy Women’s Organizer) Hon. Enyonam Mensah (National Excutive committee member NDC), Nana Ama Browne Klutse and other Vorsa members contributed to the success of the pad project geared towards young ladies at basic schools.
