UTAG to Resume strike on Friday over poor conditions of Service

The University Teachers Association of Ghana has declared their intention to go on another strike citing poor conditions of service as the reason.

The teaching profession in Ghana is gradually becoming one that many aren’t interested in base in the little salary they receive.

Even the President of the republic of Ghana, President Akufo-Addo stated emphatically the profession is not one that can make you rich.

Teachers have long ago been fighting for a good salary structure and on countless occasions stay back from the classrooms to send a signal to Government.

It is the same thing that is popping up again, this time in the camp of University Teachers who agreed among themselves to go on strike from Friday, October 8.

A document we gathered from the National Secretariat of the Association indicates Presidents of 13 Universities across the nation has signed an agreement to go on strike.
