Angry ECG Taskforce left Central University in darkness over Ghs 400,000 debts

The Electricity company of Ghana has left one of Ghana’s leading Private Universities, Central University in darkness over unpaid bills.

The University is among two other institutions around the Tema community that is facing the wrath of ECG over non payment issues.

According to sources, the school owes The power distribution company an amount believed to be in the region of

Ghanaian Electricity Company has cut off power supply to three institutions, including the Central University, which owes money to a power distribution company to more than ¢ 400,000 electricity bills.

This forms part of the ongoing aggressive approach of ECG to force all firms owing bills to settle them.

And according to them, there will be no restoration of power until the debt has been settled.
