Ex Hearts of Oak and Inter Millan Midfielder, Sulley Muntari officially retires from Football

Ex-Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari has earlier today announced his retirement from football.

The Talented Midfielder enjoyed a great career with successful spells in England where he played for Portsmouth.

His most successful Spell however came in Italy when he played for Inter Millan and featured in their Iconic Champions League triumph under Jose Mourinho.

Muntari’s most recent Club however came in the local scene in Ghana where he played for Accra Hearts of Oak for for a season.

Confirming his retirement, Muntari told Sky Sports it was his Son who convinced him to play one more season but he is done with football now.

“I just did a few months with the local side [Hearts of Oak]. My son wanted me to play. I didn’t play for almost three years, then my son decided to ask me to go and play. I did that, but now I’m done.” Muntari said to Sky Sports
